Alexia Ackermann
Alexia Ackermann began her career in the Asian currencies dealing room of Banque Indosuez in Singapore before joining McKinsey & Company from 1997 to 2004 in their New-York and Paris offices. Her work at McKinsey covered all aspects of financial services, including financial markets, retail and investment banking, credit card companies and insurance businesses as well as advising on financial functions in non financial firms (technology, consumer).
From 2004 to 2017, Alexia worked for Societe Generale Group in a variety of senior executive roles. She was one of the managers of the group’s audit and internal consulting team before becoming Chief Operating Officer first in the asset management division of the group, and then in the prime brokerage and clearing services business line. From 2015 to 2017, she was a trustee of the Newedge Group’s pension fund (Societe Generale subsidiary).
Since 2017 until 2023, Alexia was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Portland Hill Asset Management, an alternative asset management firm headquartered in the UK, with operations in Southern Europe.
Between 2015 and 2020, Alexia was on the Board, and chaired the audit and finance committee, of a large non for profit organization, Action against Hunger in France and in Italy.
Alexia Ackermann holds a Master in Finance from the Hautes Etudes Commerciales School (H.E.C.) in Paris, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. A dual citizen of France and the United Kingdom, she now resides in London.
From 2004 to 2017, Alexia worked for Societe Generale Group in a variety of senior executive roles. She was one of the managers of the group’s audit and internal consulting team before becoming Chief Operating Officer first in the asset management division of the group, and then in the prime brokerage and clearing services business line. From 2015 to 2017, she was a trustee of the Newedge Group’s pension fund (Societe Generale subsidiary).
Since 2017 until 2023, Alexia was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Portland Hill Asset Management, an alternative asset management firm headquartered in the UK, with operations in Southern Europe.
Between 2015 and 2020, Alexia was on the Board, and chaired the audit and finance committee, of a large non for profit organization, Action against Hunger in France and in Italy.
Alexia Ackermann holds a Master in Finance from the Hautes Etudes Commerciales School (H.E.C.) in Paris, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. A dual citizen of France and the United Kingdom, she now resides in London.
